Warranty Coverage
Alpen stands behind its craftsmanship and warrants its products against structural flaws or electronic failures under normal field use and service.
- Non-Electronic Optics: Covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty for the usable life of the product.
- Electronic Components: (Including integrated laser rangefinders, illuminated reticles, and thermal units) are covered by a 5-Year Limited Warranty from the original date of purchase.
At the manufacturer's discretion, products confirmed to have a qualifying manufacturing defect will be repaired or replaced with the same or a comparable model.
What This Warranty Covers
This factory warranty covers defects related to:
- Materials
- Workmanship
- Manufacturing quality
Note: This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
What This Warranty Does Not Cover
- This policy does not apply to:
- Normal wear, tear, and cosmetic damage.
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, impacts, or unauthorized modification.
- Environmental exposure beyond the product's intended design capabilities.
- Products with altered, removed, or unreadable serial numbers.
Keeping Your Warranty Valid (Requirements)
To ensure your factory protection remains fully active, the manufacturer requires the following steps:
- Purchase from an Authorized Channel: Shopping via fargazing.com fully satisfies this condition. Products bought through unauthorized platforms like Alibaba, AliExpress, or unverified eBay storefronts completely void factory warranty eligibility.
- Register Your Gear: You must register your product directly with the manufacturer within 60 days of purchase using the product's serial number.
- Proof of Purchase: Keep a copy of your Far Gazing order confirmation email or receipt, as it may be required when filing a claim.
To ensure warranty coverage:
- Product must be purchased from Alpen Optics or an Authorized Dealer like fargazing.com
- Product must be registered within 60 days of purchase
- Proof of purchase may be required
- Product must be returned freight prepaid when service is required
Most Alpen Optics products include a serial number. Please use this serial number when registering your product. Register here.
Returns & Service (RMA Process)
Should your optics ever require evaluation, cleaning, or repairs, the process is streamlined to minimize your downtime in the field:
- Ensure your product has been registered with the current owner.
- Visit the online manufacturer portal to generate a required Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
- Once an RMA is issued, your package must include the RMA number clearly marked on the exterior, along with a written description of the issue, your return shipping details, and contact information.
Shipping Note: If more than 30 days have passed since your initial Far Gazing purchase date, you will be responsible for shipping costs incurred when routing the product back to the designated US repair facility.
Policy updated: June 02, 2026. Warranty terms, processing fees, and service availability are subject to change without notice. Far Gazing reserves the right to modify this information to remain compliant with the official rules, guidelines, and service structures established by the manufacturer.
